Intimations for 20 October 2019

October 20, 2019 by Cams

Welcome to all visitors. We hope you enjoy your time with us, and please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home. May each one of us know God’s blessing as we worship together. We are very pleased to welcome Mrs Sharon MacLeod to lead our worship.

We are saddened to hear the death of Duncan Graham last week. Please remember Aileen and her family in your prayers.

Lily continues to make good progress. However, it has to be emphasised that her peace and privacy must be respected.
This also applies to those who might phone or/email her in normal circumstances from outside the church family, so please let folk know that the first point of contact is Jean Hunter (Interim Moderator) Liz Clarke (locum -pastoral care) or Ian Watt (Session Clerk).

The Kirk Session meets on Tuesday 22nd October at 2pm on the church hall. As ever, members of the congregation are welcome to attend. Please note the change of date.

Blythswood Shoebox Appeal: Once again we have been invited to support the Shoebox Appeal on behalf of Blythswood Care. Leaflets are available in the Vestibule. and empty shoeboxes are available from the front pews. As it can be quite expensive to fill a shoebox, a collection boxes have been placed in the Vestibule and in the Church Hall, where you can donate an item/items to be used to fill shoeboxes. The closing date is today. Thank you

Prayer Requests: Please put any prayer requests in the box in the Vestibule, and they will be prayed over, in strict confidence,

The Faith Development Group meets on 5th November at 2pm on at Pearl’s House (68 Murray Cresc.) All are every welcome to join us.

Mary’s Meals Christmas Cards are available to purchase from Alison until mid November at £5 per pack of 10 cards. There are 3 lovely designs to choose from. Cards can be purchased on line but buying locally will save you additional postage costs.
