Arran Skinnymalinks are continuing with weigh-ins and you are invited to stand on Alison’s scales on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:15 in the Lesser Hall. A £15 donation for 6 weeks with all contributions going to Mary’s Meals to feed starving children.
Our Church is open to all on weekdays from 10am to 12 noon
Today, Arran Churches Together are holding the annual Songs of Praise on the green opposite the Church, at 3 pm. Please come along and support this event. Help will also be appreciated with moving chairs etc. Due to Songs of Praise there will be no service at Kirkcare this afternoon.
There will be a Coffee Morning in the church hall (behind the church) on Wednesday from 10-15 to 12 noon. All are welcome to come along for a ” cuppa “, and a chat with friends old and new. There will be the usual stalls.
The ‘Bus Pass’ Lunch Club is every Wednesday 12 – 2.30 in the PHT (Pier Head Tavern) in Lamlash. Please consider coming along and being part of our community outreach while enjoying your free soup. Many people don’t come to church so church is going to them! Spare a lunch time to meet and chat with others.
Our thanks go to Douglas Bruce for the excellent organ recital on 25th June. This was greatly appreciated by the large audience. Douglas has very generously donated all the proceeds to the church, to be used for organ maintenance.
Unfortunately, the scheme to collect Plastic Bottle tops for recycling has had to closed down, so please do not bring bottle tops to church.
Music Matters are delighted to announce that the Brodick Co-op presented us with 55 percussion instruments – shakers, triangles, tambourines and more! What a wonderful time we all had making music together and singing along.
