Intimations 3 February 2019

February 3, 2019 by Alison Page

Good morning, and welcome to worship. A warm welcome to all visitors.  We hope you enjoy your time with us, and please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home. May each one of us know God’s blessing as we worship together.

We are delighted to welcome Mrs Liz Clarke to lead our worship today.

Until Lily is back to work, Mrs Jean Hunter is acting as our Interim Moderator, and Mrs Liz Clarke has been appointed to carry out the equivalent of one day per week of pastoral work. With regard to this, please contact Ian Watt in the first instance.

We are very happy that the pulpit supply rota will continue as now

Lily has at last got an appointment for an MRI scan on 15th February.

There will be a very short Guild Committee meeting after church today.

The Guild meets on Tuesday 5th February at 2pm in the church hall.

The Guild Coffee Morning in aid of the Erskine Hospital is being held in the church hall on Wednesday 6th February from 10.15 – 12 noon, with all the usual stalls. All are most welcome.

The Kirk Session will meet on 11th February at 2pm in the church hall.

St Moliose Guild, Shiskine invite Lamlash Guild to their meeting on 19th February at 2 pm, in St Moliose Church. The speaker will be Professor June Andrews, St. Andrews University. The title of her talk is ‘Dementia – One Stop Guide’. Tea and biscuits will be served in the hall after the meeting. All are welcome even if you’re not a Guild member.

Those going to the Presbytery Conference on 9th February are reminded that they will be taken from Ardrossan Harbour at  9.20 am to West Kilbride Parish Church for 10am, and back to Ardrossan Harbour for 3.20 pm

There was a very valuable and interesting meeting with Scripture Union last Mondayabout the Holiday Club which will be run in the week 1st – 6th April. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know our young people and families and to share fun with them. This will be headed up by Owain Evans, the Dumfries and Galloway SU Regional Worker with help from the congregation and friends. It is a valuable example of Outreach to the community. We are looking for folk, within or outwith the congregation, to take part in this very worthwhile project. If you, or anyone you know might be interested in helping, please contact Aileen Brookens or Ian Watt.
