Good morning, and welcome to worship. A warm welcome to all visitors. We hope you enjoy your time with us, and please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home. May each one of us know God’s blessing as we worship together.
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Sharon MacLeod to lead our worship today.
Until Lily is back to work, pastoral work will be carried out by Mrs Jean Hunter. Please contact Ian Watt in the first instance.
Lily has been seen by an orthopaedic consultant, is back at home and being subscribed medication to counter the severe pain, and is awaiting a date for an MRI scan. She is also receiving physiotherapy. She thanks everyone for their prayers, cards and good wishes. I received the following email from her yesterday:
“I am very grateful for all the good wishes etc and I hope it won’t be thought rude of me to request that you say to elders and congregation if they could refrain from visiting or emailing me for the moment. I have too many to answer”.
Elizabeth McConnell is now improving greatly, and is in Irvine for rehabilitation. She hopes to be back on Arran in about 3 weeks.

The Faith Development Group will meet again on Tuesday, 15th January, at 2pm. in Pearl’s house.
All very welcome.
The Kirk Session has entered an agreement with Scripture Union, that a Holiday Club will be run in the week 1st – 6th April. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know our young people and families and to share fun with them.
This will be headed up by Owain Evans, the Dumfries and Galloway SU Regional Worker with help from the congregation and friends. It is a valuable example of Outreach to the community. We are looking for folk, within or outwith the congregation, to take part in this very worthwhile project. If you, or anyone you know might be interested in helping, please contact Aileen Brookens or Ian Watt. There will be an initial meeting tomorrow (Monday 28th), to find out more.
Music Matters is 2pm Thursday 31st January. Helpers are asked to be at the hall for 1.15pm to set up. ARCO are coming to entertain us. Thank you for all your support.
