The Blythswood 2017 Shoebox appeal has commenced. Leaflets are available in the vestibule.  Any contributions would be gratefully received even if you are not able to fill a box one or two items would make a huge difference. A box is in the vestibule to collect your donations. The full details are included in our Autumn Newsletter.

Aileen’s Final Preaching Assessment is next Sunday, 3rd September. Representing Presbytery will be The Rev Jeanette Whitecross,  minister at Kilwinning Old and representing the Ministries Council will be Mr Charles Davey who is also a Reader.  Along with Lily, these will be her assessors. Please try to be here to support Aileen and if you know any children please bring them along too. I am sure one of the puppets will be here! This will be a joint service with Kilmory beginning at the usual time of 11.30am. Tea and biscuits will be served in the hall after the service  while Aileen waits for the verdict!  Then we can all congratulate her!  The next step will be her ‘setting apart’ service but we do not have a date for this yet.

Music Matters is Thurday 31st August.  All volunteers are asked be at the hall for 1pm to help set up.  Please let Lily know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend as there are already six volunteers who cannot be there on Thursday. Thank you everyone who makes this such a special time.
