Donna Paterson from Alzheimer Scotland is offering our new volunteers a training workshop following Music Matters on 30th March. Music Matters will run that day 2 -3.15 on that day, and training will follow for about an hour.Please let Ian Watt know if you can attend or not.
All volunteers are asked to set up the hall from 1pm. Thank you all for your valuable input.
Weekly Coffee Mornings are due to start in May. The 6 current leaders (inc. 4 octogenarians) urgently need more support. If you are willing to help in any way, please contact Maureen Oakes on 600279.
The ‘Bus Pass’ Lunch Club is every Wednesday 12 – 2.30 in the PHT. please consider coming along and being part of our community outreach while enjoying your free soup. Many people don’t come to church so church is going to them! Spare a lunch time to meet and chat with others.
Mary’s Meals Event – 2 April
We are delighted that Fran and Lucy from Mary’s Meals (UK) HQ will be leading our church service next Sunday. Please invite neighbours, friends and any visitors you meet to join us to hear at first hand about this wonderful charity and the part Arran is playing to support it.
Also, please join us in the hall for soup and bread at 12:30 and enjoy the opportunity for a more informal chat over lunch.
The Knit & Natter Group have been working away and have produced some lovely Easter goodies to buy and raise funds for Mary’s Meals. Don’t miss out; they are really special gifts all lovingly created by people who have donated their time and talents in our community.
