We are delighted to have Rev. John Webster with us to lead our worship today.
The Kirk Session meets on Wednesday of this week (26th April) at 2pm in the church hall. These are public meetings, and church members are welcome to attend.
One item on the agenda will be the Fete which is being arranged for 27th May, using the church hall and grounds instead of the event run by the Guild in Arran High School in previous years. It was realised that it would be cheaper and more convenient to do this. We are grateful The Guild will look after homebaking and teas, but we need other ideas and input from anyone who can help. This is an opportunity to raise a lot of money and to create a pleasant and enjoyable occasion. We also need someone to co-ordinate all of this (with help). Please talk to Lily or any of the Kirk Session. This should be big occasion in every way, but it will only be so if we all ‘muck in’.
Items for the Summer Newsletter should be given to Alison Page by 7th May, please.
The Faith Group meets this Tuesday at 2pm at 68 Murray Crescent. Please join us if you can.
The next Communion is on 4th June and the winter Communion service will be on 3rd December.
From Jean Hunter, Presbytery Clerk: The Presbytery of Ardrossan is twinned with the Presbytery in Milala in Milawi, and a group of two ministers (David Watson and Tanya Webster) and two elders (Jim Welsh and Deirdre Murray) representing the Presbytery is currently ion Milala to strengthen links between us. David Watson has asked that congregations remember them and their visit, in our prayers today.
The ‘Bus Pass’ Lunch Club is every Wednesday 12 – 2.30 in the PHT. please consider coming along and being part of our community outreach while enjoying your free soup. Many people don’t come to church so church is going to them! Spare a lunch time to meet and chat with others.
