Good morning and welcome to Worship. May we all know God’s blessing as we worship together. If you are a visitor, please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home.
Foodshare: we have been partnered with Lamlash Co-op and we will share out the collection days with Eco Savvy so that we do not have to be involved every day of the week. Please speak to Lily or Ian TODAY if you are able to help collect the food and take it to the church vestry where it will be available to anyone who needs it. There will be no need to wait at the church as we will operate on the same basis as the Foodbank with the church being open for people in need to come along and help themselves. This helps preserve peoples’ anonymity and dignity.
The church prayer group meets 3pm Monday at Betty Dick’s home, ‘Kilspindie’ at top of Margnaheglish Road. It would be great to see more people join us so do come along if able. You will be very welcome. The purpose of this group is to pray for the church and all our work. Without prayer as a foundation, we will be building on sand and that is not recommended!
Please note that the Faith Development Group resumes 2pm Tuesday 23rd October at 68 Murray Crescent. We are grateful to Pearl for opening her home for this. Please come along and join us as we explore God’s Word together. In a changing world, it is important that we continually try to work out how what we do as Christians reflects what we learn of God’s love.
The Guild Dedication is the focus of our worship next Sunday 28th October. The national theme for this year is ‘One Journey – Many Roads; Seeking The Way’. This is an ideal time to join the Guild as the new session begins 2pm Tuesday 30th October. The speaker is Evelyn Coles. We look forward to welcoming everyone.

Thought for the Week
“ The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out.” John 1 v 4-5
Christ is our Light!
Many the gifts, many the people,
Many the hearts that long to belong;
Let us be servants to one another,
Making God’s Kingdom come!
