Good morning, and welcome to our praise service. A warm welcome to all visitors. We hope you enjoy your time with us, and please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home. May each one of us know God’s blessing as we worship together. We are very pleased to welcome Rev Angus Adamson to lead our worship today.
Today we celebrate The Sacrament of the Lord’s
Supper. All who love the Lord are invited to share this
special time together.
Come, for all things are ready!
‘Tis a banquet of love;
Here’s a free invitation
from the Master above.
Come, for all things are ready!
Heaven’s bounty is spread;
Take the cup of salvation,
take the life-giving bread.
Thank you to everyone who donated to Christian Aid and to
all who helped make the coffee morning so successful.
Together we have raised £400. A wonderful effort which will make a huge difference to displaced people living in fear and battling the elements with very little shelter.
Fete: the Church Fete takes place on 29th June from 2 -4 pm
We need help, whether it’s setting up, running the stalls, or contributing small prizes (around £1 in value, in general).
Please give this serious consideration, since the more people are involved, the greater the success, both financially and as an enjoyable Church event.
Boxes for donations etc will be provided in the Vestibule and in the Church Hall.
Items can be handed in at the Coffee Mornings or at Church, or at any time to any of the elders.
One of the main earners is the home-baking stall, and we would urge as many as possible to contribute to this.
We also need, please: plants and bottles as well as prizes
What can YOU offer to help?
There will be no Church Prayer Meeting on Monday 3rd June, but will resume on 10th June at 7pm in Margaret Fowler’s home. All are very welcome to attend.
You will be aware that Robert Marr ‘signed up’ as Treasurer for three years, and his time is up! and we are very grateful for the hard work he has done, along with Lindsey. Added to that is the fact that they intend to leave Arran for pastures new.
The bottom line is that we are looking for a new Treasurer. Any one who has any suitable/interested contacts is asked to speak to Ian Watt. So far despite several approaches by the church, we have found no-one. Please give serious thought to this search.
