Intimations 2 April 2017

April 1, 2017 by Alison Page

A warm welcome to all visitors. We hope you enjoy your time with us, and please take our good wishes back to your own congregation on your return home. We are especially  pleased to welcome Fran and Lucy from Mary’s Meals (UK) HQ, who will be leading our worship.

Also, please join us in the hall for soup and bread after the service and enjoy the opportunity for a more informal chat over lunch.

The Knit & Natter Group have been working away and have produced some lovely Easter goodies to buy and raise funds for Mary’s Meals. Don’t miss out; they are really special gifts all lovingly created by people who have donated their time and talents in our community.

The Faith Group meets this Tuesday at 2pm at 68 Murray Crescent. Please join us if you can!

The Singing Group will not meet until after Easter, when a restart date will be arranged

There will be a Coffee Morning  on Wednesday of this week (5th April). Please come along, bring your friends and enjoy a chat with your coffee and cake. We are very grateful for the generous offers of help with baking and serving. With your help, we hope to provide a Coffee Morning every Wednesday during May, June, July and August, except for the week of the Agricultural Show – August 2nd.

The ‘Bus Pass’ Lunch Club is every Wednesday 12 – 2.30 in the PHT. please consider coming along and being part of our community outreach while enjoying your free soup. Many people don’t come to church so church is going to them! Spare a lunch time to meet and chat with others.

During Holy Week (9 – 16 April) the church will be open for private prayer/meditation from 10am – 11am on 10th, 11th,  12th and 13th April. All are most welcome to drop in for part of that time.

On Maundy Thursday in Holy Week ( 13th April) there will be a short and informal service of Communion, at 7pm in church, to which all will be made most welcome.

The Walk of Witness , organised by Arran Churches Togethr, will take place on Good Friday, 14th April, starting from Holy Cross Curch in Brodie, and finishing with a short service of praise at Brodick Church of Scotland at about 2:45 pm. See notices in vestibule, hall and noticeboard at the gate.

On  Tuesday 11th April there is to be an evening of sacred music in Whiting Bay  Church at 7 pm.
