Harvest Thanksgiving will be celebrated next Sunday. We are asked to recognise the success of the harvest in this country, compared with the failure of the harvest in South Asia due to flooding and it would be appropriate to have a retiring collection for the work of Tearfund who are working to feed the thousands of refugees as well as helping to re-establish their communities. Alternatively, you may wish to contribute to the Foodbank.
The Faith Development Group resumes 2pm Tuesday 19th September at 68 Murray Crescent. If you would like to join us but Tuesdays don’t suit you please let Lily know and we can look at alternative day or time. We hope to be working our way through W.E.C. daily readings and notes and sharing together in exploring how our faith impacts on our everyday lives. On Tuesday we will be looking at questions that have arisen over the summer about our experiences as well as questions we may have about puzzling aspects from our personal Bible reading. We won’t know the questions people may raise until we meet so it wil be an interesting afternoon!
The Singing Group meet in the church hall on Wednesdays at 4pm. You don’t need to be able to sing! Come and make a joyful noise! learn new hymns and revive old favourites. All welcome.
