The Singing Group resumes on Wednesday 13th at 4pm in the hall. Our praise is a huge part of our worship on Sundays and it is good to learn new hymns and revive old favourites. No auditions, no pressure! Come and join us for an hour of singing, laughter and the odd bit of musical education thrown in by Graeme at the piano!
Arran Skinnymalinks – week 6 and our final weigh in for the Lamlash Group takes place this Wednesday in Piper’s Cottage at 4:15pm. Thanks to everyone who participated in this campaign and to Anne Ferguson for hosting.
For 6 weeks ‘Knit & Natter’ will meet in the Residents Lounge at Trust Homes, McKelvie Court on Fridays at 10:30 until 12 noon. Our first gathering will be Friday the 6th of October, however, wool and patterns are available from Alison at any time and should you prefer to knit away on your own.
Food bank: The demand on Arran has increased a great deal with the school holidays and supplies are needed. Please help!
The Blythswood 2017 Shoebox appeal has commenced. Leaflets are available in the vestibule. Any contributions would be gratefully received even if you are not able to fill a box one or two items would make a huge difference. A box is in the vestibule to collect your donations. Care and Repair Scotland runs a weekly digital class teaching older people to use the Internet and as part of this we are pleased to invite you to a demonstration/talk from Lynn Garrett of NHS24 on the new NHS Inform website on Thursday 14th September 11am-1pm at Argyll College, Lamlash.
