Coffee Mornings – The important and valuable Coffee Morning
set up is in danger of collapsing for want of folk to act as ‘team
leaders’. There is support from people
willing to bake, but we
urgently require team leaders. This is not as onerous as it may
sound, but is extremely important. The Coffee Morning is an
extremely valuable aspect of the church’s work, in that it a well-
used meeting place, as well as being an important source of
income for both church and other charitable causes. If you want
more information, or have any suggestions, please speak to

There was a super turnout at the Mary’s Meals Charity
Dinner on the 6th of Feb, with people from many of our
churches in attendance. The amazing sum of £1513 was donated
which will be matched under UK Aid ‘Double The Love”.
1,425,013 children are being fed every school day through
Mary’s Meals at the moment. Thank you for helping us to reach
even more starving children. Your support is greatly appreciated!

There was a very valuable and interesting meeting with
Scripture Union last
Monday about the Holiday Club which will
be run in the week 1st – 6th April. This is an excellent
opportunity
to get to know our young people and families and to share fun
with them. This will be headed up by Owain Evans, the
Dumfries
and Galloway SU Regional Worker with help from the
congregation and friends. It is a valuable example of Outreach to
the community. We are looking for folk, within or outwith the
congregation, to take part in this very worthwhile project. If you,
or anyone you know might be interested in helping, please
contact Aileen Brookens or Ian Watt.
