We had a two occasions to celebrate this month, Pat’s birthday and Betty and George’s 60th Wedding Anniversary, which meant there just had to be a special cake!
Sadly, residents from Montrose House and Stronach Day Service couldn’t manage along this month, however, we had a wonderful time with those who could join us.
Professional singer Frances Coyle was on holiday in Arran and treated us to some lovely solos and sing-alongs. We also heard from regulars George and Betty as well as Iain Auld.
Graeme McKinnon, our resident pianist and musical director helped lead a session with our new instruments which were kindly donated by the Co op last month. A most enjoyable afternoon afternoon with good fun had by all!
Brodick Co-op kindly donated musical instruments to Music Matters and what fun we had playing them at our June gathering!
A happy and enjoyable singalong – oh how time flies when you are enjoying yourself!

Following a successful bid for funding, some of our regular Music Matters attendees were gifted an Apple iPod Shuffle and speaker from Santa at our meeting on the 29th of December. This simple wee device will allow our folks to listen to a selection of songs we sing at Music Matters each month any time, any place.
There is also help at hand to assist them in downloading their favourite songs from their personal playlist -just contact Rev. Lily to make arrangements!
Music Matters is for people living with dementia and their carers. We meet at 2pm on the last Thursday of each month in Lamlash Church Hall for a cuppa, some lovely home baking and a singalong. A most enjoyable afternoon is had by all!
A cold and frosty day for our November Music Matters but we had a full house! A very happy and enjoyable afternoon which went by so quickly 🙂
