Adam, where are you?

March 13, 2011 by Cams

Read out at the Sunday service in Kilmory and Lamlash, 13 March 2011

Adam, where are you?

No, I don’t take any responsibility,
you see Lord, I didn’t actually
pick the apple, so I’m completely blameless.
No, Eve gave it to me
and obviously I didn’t want to upset her;
girls like her are a bit few and far between.

Anyway, she was only
responding to an invitation.
Yes, I know you said we weren’t to
but it’s not a matter of punishing us-
It was obviously the serpent’s fault
and when you’ve had time to mull it over
I’m sure you’ll acknowledge
that you were the one
who put it in the garden
in the first place!
