We are saddened to hear of the death of Helen Smith who lived at Llandulas Cottage before leaving Arran to stay with her son. The funeral service will be held in the church at 11.30am on Wednesday 10th January. Our prayers are for Helen’s family at this sad time.
A big thank you to all who helped on Friday to take down the decorations and the trees. Thank you also to everyone who turned up at the manse ‘at home’ on Thursday. It was great to have so many there!
Each Sunday before worship, there is the opportunity to join together in the lesser hall for a short time of prayer beginning at 10.45 am. If you have any prayer request please speak to Lily. All requests can be anonymous – God will know!
The Guild meet at 2pm on Tuesday 9th January at McKelvie Road. Lily is the speaker and hopes to show some holiday slides about the Protestant region in the South of France (and Venice if time permits!) Everyone welcome so please join us if you can.
The first Coffee Morning of the year will be on Wednesday 10th January from 10.15 – 12 noon, with all the usual stalls. Next month, the Coffee Morning will on the usual date, ie the first Wednesday of the month.
PHT Bus Pass Lunch is Wednesdays 12 – 2.30 pm. Present your Bus Pass for free bowl of soup with bread.
Singing Group meet Wednesday 10th January at 4pm in the church hall. We are looking for more people to join us for this joyful time of learning new hymns and refreshing hymns we know and love. Please drop by and give it a try!
Faith Development Group will reconvene at 2 pm on 16th January at 68 Murray Crescent. We will continue our studies of Luke’s Gospel. This will be led by Aileen. A warm welcome awaits!
We are delighted that the Newsletter survives! This will now be looked after by Alison Page and Alison Armstrong. We very much look forward to working with them, and to supporting them by supplying material and ideas, so as to maintain the present high standard. Thank you Alison and Alison.
Lily is away at Gartmore House from 15th – 19th January at a conference for ministers on the Path of Renewal. For pastoral care during this time please call our Session Clerk, Ian Watt, on 600 382.
